Adoption Process
Applications
Applications are reviewed in the order they are received. We carefully consider each home to ensure the best match for both our puppies and their future families. You will be notified within 48 hours if we believe your home is a good fit for one of our puppies.
Because we breed infrequently and intentionally, deposits are only accepted after puppies have been safely born. Puppy selections will begin at approximately 4 weeks of age, once personalities and developmental traits begin to emerge.
A non-refundable $300 reservation fee will hold the puppy of your choice, if available. Reservation fees are applied toward the final purchase price of your puppy.
To keep our process simple and secure, we do not accept personal checks or credit cards for reservation fees or final payment. Final payment is due at the time of pickup and may be made via cash, Venmo, or Zelle.
Gotcha Day - Going Home
Our puppies are ready to go to their new homes between 10 and 11 weeks of age. We intentionally keep puppies with their littermates and mother a little longer to support healthy socialization, confidence, and early development.
If a puppy remains with us beyond 12 weeks of age, a boarding and continued care fee of $30 per day will apply.
Please also consider your schedule when planning for your puppy’s homecoming. Young puppies are not yet fully vaccinated and generally cannot be boarded at traditional kennels or daycare facilities until their vaccine series is complete. If you have upcoming travel plans or unforeseen circumstances arise, please reach out as early as possible so we can discuss options and help support a smooth transition for your puppy.
Life Events - Help with Your Puppy
We understand that life circumstances can change. If you are in the Sacramento area and we have availability, we are happy to offer boarding for our puppies and dogs at a rate of $30 per day, helping provide continuity of care in a familiar environment.
If at any point you are unable to keep your puppy, please contact us first. We are committed to the lifelong well-being of every puppy we place and will gladly assist in finding an appropriate new home or helping coordinate a safe transition.
We also strongly encourage professional training for both puppies and their families. Positive, consistent training and clear expectations help build a strong, successful relationship and allow your puppy to grow into a confident, well-mannered companion.
